  • Conundrum: Wow, with all the rain I've been in as well as flooding in the X on Fat Tire, I have a new issue. Set light blinking rapidly and goes away after restarting the engine. I did a little research and I guess the cruise actuator can get nasty and seems plausible since I went through a puddle on purpose on the right hand side and that made the set light for cruise start flashing again. I'll check it out after the rain stops. lol Have fun and be safe out there everyone.

F/S Tube Bumper - 2nd Gen Xterra
« on: December 27, 2013, 06:05:58 PM »
Hey everyone, my friend Aaron (Penski61) is building a tube bumper for the 2nd Gen Xterra.  This is for an Xterra without a body lift.  Asking price will be $800.

Here are a few pictures of his progress so far.  He borrowed Andrew's truck for the build.

If you are interested, please let me know, and I'll get you in contact with Aaron.  The final build will be done on your X, so that any customizations can be done to suit your needs.

The one above has been sold.  But Aaron is in the process of making another one using my truck for a template.  This one will be for a 2" body lift, and it will fit all 2nd Gens.

Yes, this bumper will have a winch mount and recovery points, as well as a removable front skid.

I second the question about doing rear bumpers. Also, what about sliders?

He only made a few front bumpers, but no rears  (other than the rear tire carriers for his own personal vehicles.

.

Just talked to Aaron.  He is willing to sell this, as is, for $250.  It would need some finish welding, and potentially some minor adjustments to the mounts, as apparently, my truck is not 100% straight (quite a bit of offroad use).
