I wouldn't say that this is official (I've not hosted a mod day or anything like that) but I think mo day's are on pause for now as the summer temps are here and I think there would be a lot of people coming to see me for heat stroke!!!! But keep an eye out...they are always posted when there's one coming up.

just gonna throw this out there i have looked into importing cars into the us extensively and i gotta say if your gonna be saving for an r34 especially a gtr not a gts-t or gt your gonna be paying upwards of 60k because of how desirable they are and thats if u can find someone who is either military that will send it back or someone who has a friend in customs cause most jap exporters wont come near a U.S. shore to begin with factor in the shipping and customs fees then u have to get custom glass because r34 glass is not usdm compliant your looking at around 90k a local drifter paid 63k to have a r33 gtst tha delivered  i would honestly just get a new gtr for the price lol

Driver Error
Title: Re: Xterra06 SE
Post by: xterra06 on June 13, 2013, 09:32:58 AM
I was cruising through the lights and the light turned green as i came to the intersection and i was going through and a guy ran the red light and i just clipped the back of his truck and just smashed the car... just i should have looked into the intersection i shouldnt assume just cause the light turned green that i was clear... so ya PitSnipe, drivers error... but primarily the other guys fault.

ya well its up to the insurance and my old bank... i hope i didnt just get screwed out of a 2nd car... cause i wont have money to put down on a car... i used the saturn as a down payment and got the sentra... the sentra is a nice little car i liked it... but we will see what happens.

Good Luck man, talk to the dealership, Im sure this isnt the first this has happened. Im sure there is something they can help you with getting into another one.
Title: Re: Xterra06 SE
Post by: xterra06 on June 13, 2013, 02:01:33 PM
Ya, insurance wrote off the car as a total loss, and so my old car and the new car are gone but the dealership said they would help with doing a double rebate and letting me extend my down payment for 45 days and i could put down 1500 in the 45 days... so idk. Im going after work to talk to them.
Title: Re: Xterra06 SE
Post by: remo1991(Brent) on June 13, 2013, 02:36:20 PM
that sucks so the ins is just paying the car off and your SOL for the down payment ( Saturn). Can't the Ins. pay the invoice and give what you traded.
Title: Re: Xterra06 SE
Post by: xterra06 on June 13, 2013, 03:06:22 PM
thats what i asked but they cant do anything about the trade in. so the dealership is working on finding a loop hole and getting me something
Title: Re: Xterra06 SE
Post by: xterra06 on June 18, 2013, 01:44:52 PM
Well my insurance just paid the car off and i went to the dealer and i was able to just get my old Saturn back paid for... the dealership was really cool about it cause since the ins paid off the Sentra i was able to get my ins to pay the down payment back to the dealership and i ended up with my Saturn back... so all is good for me for now and i think im just going to stick with the Saturn for a year or so and just go from there..

Hopefully getting the Rear Bumper in a few months and a spare soon, and shackles to complete the lift on the truck!!!
Can not wait to get more mods on the truck....
Will post pics of the truck all dirty from the weekend later when i have a camera to take pics!

Were you having problems with you a/c? Mine has been having issues for some time now and curious if you were having similar issues.
Title: Re: Xterra06 SE
Post by: xterra06 on July 30, 2013, 01:30:23 PM
I have been having issues since i got it....
1) ac was charged and cooling ok but slowly got warm...
2)recharged and lasted for about 4 weeks but wasnt very cold... just cool
3)recharged again to find leak lasted about a week... but was more warm than cold
4)replaced high side hose, and recharged and not cold at all....
5)replacing expansion valve and praying this works.... i will update when i get the part installed and recharged and going... should be after 3 when i get the part from autozone.... so ya... i have always delt with ac issues... first time with expansion valve found out i didnt need to take the dash out.... but since it was out i cleaned everything out and rewired a few things and put it all back together and hopefully later i will have ac and can finally drive my truck with windows down... let me know in a pm if you need help with ac!
Title: Re: Xterra06 SE
Post by: xterra06 on July 30, 2013, 05:41:42 PM
So tired of autozone... never had problems till i went to this one... i really need to find a new one to go to.... freaking ordered the part on sunday and told me it would be here today at 3 well i get a call at like 3:10 and they say its here and i drive there and they dont have it.... so i leave and i get a call from them at like 4 and again they have it and i get there and this time i got the guys name and guess what i get there and its not there...  so now they looked up the tracking number and it wont be here till tomorrow.... so i had a good argument with them...  I had plans tomorrow and i needed my truck but looks like that isnt going to happen... FML

Which method did you use to stealth your grille and rims? How is it holding up? Are you happy with the way it turned out? I have so many mods I want to do but not enough money and planning on trading in for OR model next year. Oh and how long did it take to stealth the grille? The rims? Thanks man
