Title: New to Arizona. New Member. New(ish) Xterra!
Post by: lrgmnky on February 10, 2014, 09:34:37 AM
Hi Everyone,
I moved to Tempe from Cincinnati in September.  It didn't take me long to decide that I was going to need trade in my beloved WRX for an SUV to explore all of the roads and trails in the area.  I always liked the Xterra so that part was a pretty easy decision.  A few weeks ago, right around the time I decided to bite the bullet on an Xterra I saw someone in a Silver 00-04 (I think) with an azxterraclub.com sticker up in North Scottsdale and that's how I ended up here.

Anyway, over the weekend I found a really nice 2012 4x4 in gray and I've been either driving it or peeking out the front door to check on it in the driveway ever since!  I'm really looking forward to getting out there with it this weekend.  It's going to be a long week at work.

My wife and I live in Tempe (near Apache and McClintock) and have spent quite a bit of time hiking in the Superstitions and McDowell Mountains area.  I'm also into road and mountain biking so I have no doubt the new X will have a big part in that.  Looking forward to meeting some of you folks.

Thanks!  I saw the post about the day run but unfortunately I'm going to have family in town that weekend.
