Title: Need help with brakes
Post by: coatimundi01 on April 19, 2014, 10:15:33 AM
Ok, new rear lines installed, new hard line installed, no brake leak, lines bled out. I still have a crazy soft pedal... Do I just bleed them again and hope for the best? Do I have to do anything with the clutch?

I've never done it before so maybe I bled them wrong. I got the order correct. Maybe not all the bubbles are out?

Keep bleeding. Start with front brakes and go to rear brakes. Over fill the reservoir with fluid so you dont run it low and suck in air. Bleed brakes with vehicle off. Pedal down and hold...open bleeder and close....lift pedal. Repeat until air is out of the system.

On the gen2 it's rear right, front left, rear left, front right. I'm about to go bleed again and get the clutch too.

Somebody's helping you right? I hate bleeding brakes. lol. Make sure they hold it all the way down hard I think that's where a lot of people mess up... it takes a long time.
