Post by: TeguTerra on May 19, 2014, 06:14:01 PM
Plain 2WD 07 Xterra
Solar yellow
Bed lined rims
Bed lined frontier step rails
Bed lined side rails that should look familiar to AZXterra410

FUTURE:
hope to buy one of the racks that Whattha makes

Planning on at least a 2.5 lift

Looking at a set of cooper tires with some meat.

Hoping to soon buy a bull nose and put some lights on it

Working on making a light bar for the top at work right now and put some low profile lights on it.

Nice ,they is a rig you should be proud of. Just right!

Now you need your Gobi  Ladder.  Low cost mod and easy to install. You may need a extra set of hands to put it in.

Yeah,  hoping this group buy on Facebook goes through and they can get a decent price.   I want that and see a lo pro roof rack from  Whattha coming very soon.   Should have my sliders that I am making at work done next week if not tomm.  :)

Talk to Will at Sierra Expedition.(Mesa) He is local guy and has very fair pricing for some who operates a store front.

Sweet,  if you don't mind me asking what did he charge for one?   There is a possible group buy on Facebook but don't know how that's going to end up and if they are cheaper I will keep my business local.

Sierra Expedition   charged me 200 Bucks with shipping. He may be open for a group buy for addition savings. We can only ask?

Question for any one with sliders,  do the bolts to mount them on go through just one wall of the frame or through both.

Post by: TeguTerra on March 20, 2015, 05:09:41 PM
@Ghostrider,  yeah that's what they gave me for a price today.   Think I will wait and see how this group buy that is going on Facebook pans out.   Supposed to know the prices on April 1st.

I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure both for a stronger hold. Why not just weld them to the frame?

Why do you have to tempt me to do such things,  lol.   It has crossed my mind :)

So I have a chance to get a ARB front bumper with a 10,000lb winch already on it.   My coworker hasn't given me a price yet but he says it will be way worth it.  What's everyone's opinion on the ARB bumpers?

Better get heavy duty struts and springs. That will really weigh the front end down.

Post by: TeguTerra on March 23, 2015, 09:18:29 AM
Mine are going to crap so that is definitely something that will be getting done.   Just don't know if I like how bulky the ARB is compared to the shockworks .

I may just stay with my tube bumper idea that I was going to do that won't near as heavy.

ARB is what the general public knows when it comes to steel bumpers. The big difference between ARB and other companies (shrock/hefty/others) is that the approach angle is worse than a shrock or hefty or anyone else in the bumper game. I think its heavier also (don't hold me to this), meaning you need better coilovers/stiffer shocks. I personally like the flow of other bumpers. The ARB is just bulky to me.

If the front suspension isnt upgraded, the car will dip like crazy when you brake. Ask me how I know haha.

Btw, I bought some blueberry muffins the other day. ;D

As far as your earlier post about the sliders. Mine were through both side of the frame I believe. 4 holes (was supposed to drill the 4th but I didn't and those things took every rock I hit just fine).

Wow,  since the last update a lot has changed.   Put bilsteins from a Pro4x on and made custom rear shackles,  made full set of Molle panels (both Windows and rear hatch)  added a gobi ladder,  drop in roof basket with custom mounts for hi-lift and ARB awning,  added a ARB awning and a 60" hi-lift.  Also added a custom made hood louver panel fully  functional,  Xoskel light cage with KC lights,  some new rocker switches and full CB setup.  Finishing my engine and Trans skids and then will be fully skidded except gas tank.

Louvered hood looks SICK on yellow,  8) Great job. Is it functional? (did you cut out your hood?)

Just used a large cut off wheel and a steady hand for the hood cutouts.  :),
