Post by: Azfronty99 on June 08, 2014, 10:50:10 AM
Ok im looking to get a aal setup for my 99 frontier since the stock ones are getting weak. Going to take off the lower helper spring and add a new leaf so I dont need longer u bolts and so it dont lift me to much. Where can I get some for a good price?

Go to local shop and have existing springs strengthened or a spring or two added, Spectrac in Mesa or Dunbar Springs in Phoenix.

I was looking to do the same thing, i called dunbar and they quoted me at about $400 to add a leaf and rearch my current springs.

That's a bit to much for me... I just figured since most aal I see for sale are under $100 that would be a easy way to go

Ya, thats exactly what I was thinking. I'm not sure who significant the rearching is oppose to just installing the aal.

Maybe someone else with more insight and experience would be able to give insight on the difference, or just adding a leaf oppose to doing aal and rearching from a leaf pack shop.

I add a Rancho add a Leaf  and in combination it was a good fit. I got more lift and my ride improved. One I failed to to is a a leaf Bracket on the rear assembly.

purchase mine thru Desert Rat in Tempe.

Its a good low cost mod. 8)
