Title: Used First generation aftermarket steering system
Post by: bdjones72 on November 01, 2015, 11:53:11 PM
I have a used first gen Xterra aftermarket steering system that I recently removed from my 2000 Xterra.  This was originally made by a company called L&P that is now no longer in business.  The bushing on the center link are worn and need to be replaced.  They are spherical bushings and are easily replaced if you have the tools and know how necessary.  Included is the center link, reinforced pitman arm, and reinforced idler arm.  Everything is rusty, but still solid in construction.  Since the center link bushings are bad I'm not asking much for the parts $100 OBO. New I paid $400 for this system.  A replacement center link can be bought from grassroots 4x4 (www.grassroots4x4.com) for $229 and will work with the pitman and idler arms.  I decided to go back to stock as I don't go 4 wheeling any longer and was able to replace everything (pitman arm, idler arm, center link, TREs nd lower ball joints) for less than the $229 cost of the grassroots CL.  If interested email me at bdjones72@msn.com.

You decided to keep this right? Or is it sold?
