Title: Flagstaff Camping Trip 5/15/16
Post by: PitSnipe (Kyle) on May 18, 2016, 06:39:47 PM
Every year a group of us guys from high school do a blow out camping trip. I haven't been on this trip in almost 5 years. Kids tend to get in the way. No women and no kids allowed. Just wieners in the woods.
FR533B off of the 89A just south of Flagstaff is where it went down. What a great area it was. We got lucky too. The Forrest Service had been clearing up the woods and stacked wood everywhere in teepee like formations. Didn't have to cut a single log or walk more than 20 years to get it.
We went up Thursday night and some stayed till Sunday. I came back Saturday.
You can tell that it had rained but it want really muddy in the area. Just a few holes along the main trail. The ground was pretty soft. Putting tent stakes in have never been easier.
So bring on the pictures I say

My quaint setup

I enjoyed all of the rocks and stumps

Fire was always 6 to 12 feet tall once it was dark.
