Title: What do you carry?
Post by: Hammer (Avi) on September 25, 2016, 09:58:27 PM
I just saw a thread on some Harbor Freight tools on sale and thought to myself, it has been a long time since I've seen a good trail gear thread.  So here is what I carry everywhere, all the time.
Hi Lift Jack
2x Recovery Strap

Channel Locks (http://www.harborfreight.com/4-piece-tongue-and-groove-joint-pliers-set-43553.html)
Pliers (http://www.harborfreight.com/5-pc-pliers-set-62598.html)
Jumper cables, the longest that were affordable (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-20-ft-4-Gauge-UL-Listed-Booster-Cable-0160420-UL1/204736838)
A giant chain (http://www.harborfreight.com/3-8-eighth-inch-x-14-ft-truckers-chain-97711.html)
I also carry a variety of ropes, adhesives, bailing wire, flares, fuses, spare bulbs, wd40, duct tape, knifes, shovels, axes, a 4lb hammer, and radios.  I think that's it, but I'm probably forgetting stuff.

I hope this doesn't read like a Harbor Freight commercial.  Anyways, I realized just how much stuff I have so I'll be spending some time organizing and simplifying my kit.  Maybe start carrying fluids or spare parts instead.

Bringing various nuts, bolts, pins and washers is a good idea as well.

I wish I had a good list of spare nuts and bolts to keep handy.  Also, just noticed I don't have a metric Allen 3/8 socket set.  Good thing I've never had to top of diff fluid.
