It was a pretty awesome weekend and cant wait to implement these trails into CANVAZ 2017.
First off I want to thank Victor for organizing this trip.
Second I want to thank Victor and Stephen for all of the spotting along the trail. If it wasn't for you two I might not have made it. Thank you both for helping me get unstuck not even five minutes into the Moss Wash Trail.
Third, holy shit it was cold. Low 20s on Friday night and mid 30s on Saturday night.
I really had a great weekend.

We have to figure out for the next pre run if this trail and camping areas are good.

Moss Wash has Wild Cow campground near it and could fit a large group. Will have to check this out again just in case we need more room.
Thinking 20 rigs

Moss Wash we can maybe run 8 rigs at a time but there will be a minimum of 2" lift 33s sliders and skids to be safe. Running it backwards is easier and faster then forward.
I will post up more info on it. This would be an all day trail since the size of group and how deep it takes you in the mountains but enough time to regroup and camp.

Chloride Mines trail was alot shorter and easier but still technical and fun with great scenic views. Since the campsites around this area are really small we cannot camp as a group near here. But it makes a great sunday run right before we all head home.

Next time we all meet we can talk this over to make it easier to plan.

We will need some 2wd pre runs to and from the campgrounds on different bypasses will post more info on this.

3rd Pre Run will be April 27-29

More info as we decide a plan.
Let us know if you are interested in attending. We don't need a big group but a couple rigs are welcomed.

Check OP for updates.

It looks like secret pass and pass canyon still need to be pre run.  Also, we need to pick some scenic trails for the 2wd crew.  Do we want to camp on one of the trails or at the campground we picked for the event?  Also, when can everyone leave, I talked to Vic and he says 3-4 friday, I'm off all day.  I need to be back for work sunday night though, and it is a long drive.  So, I'm considering heading up thursday night so I can run an easy trail friday before meeting up to camp friday night.

Ill head up Friday and come back Sunday morning.

We can camp near pass canyon and do those trails.
As for the 2wd trails the road that cuts through Haulupai mountian is pretty scenic.

Clarification on camping location and meeting spot/which trail for Saturday morning would be great!  I'll either camp with you guys Friday or meet up for the run Saturday morning.

The Friday night camp hasn't been determined since we have 2 rigs already going to be out there from Thursday.

Saturday runs should be pass canyon and secret pass.
Everybody has been busy so details have been delayed till now lol.

I think we should camp at the spots we are thinking of using, packsaddle campground.  I want to check them out, I'll probably drive up to windy point to check it out as well.  I plan on running Secret Pass on Thursday to get a layout of the area and figure out timing to and from the campsite.  Advantages and disadvantages to overlanding vs leaving your gear set up.  On Saturday we will run Pass canyon, and return to the camp site at night.  I'll communicate my cell to those that dont have it, please post if you dont have it so we can message if we for some reason don't meet up.

Sorry details were slow coming, still catching up.

Campground is: Here (https://www.google.ca/maps/place/Packsaddle+Campground/@35.44958,-114.1827961,15z/data=!4m8!1m2!2m1!1spacksaddle+campground+az!3m4!1s0x0:0x490a6cdb1b3a6701!8m2!3d35.4522147!4d-114.1699567?hl=en)

If you head into the campsite from the 93 and big wash it's green, if you go form the 125 its red, just a heads up.

I don't think Packsaddle Campground is big enough for more than 6-7 rigs; Windy Point might be a little bigger, but not much.

I think the Wild Cow Campground we stayed at on the last pre-run trip was REALLY good!  It has enough room and bathroom facilities (not flushable) for 30+ rigs, easy.  It's also in a good spot around all the areas that are being pre-run.

Packsaddle campground is tiny but no fee needed with bathrooms

Windypoint is bigger but the campsites are per rig and seperated alot with a fee.

Wild cow was the best even though we didnt explore further up all the campsites were really nice for a big group. Even though there was a fee it was really un maintained with trees down.

Ok, I was also recommended to check out Hualapai Campground, I see that is right next to Wild Cow as well.  So lets say Wild Cow Campground then, Here (https://www.google.com/maps/place/Wild+Cow+Campground+(Federal+BLM+Land+)/@35.0652822,-113.8729681,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xe1f703326578e0f1!8m2!3d35.0652822!4d-113.8707794)

I'll be up sometime Thursday then and we can all meet up at the campsite.

OP updated to save confusion.

I want Avi to get a feel for those campgrounds in the Hualupai Mountains with bathrooms and garbage cans for the large group. As for Saturday im ok camping anywhere so throw out some suggestions.

I can camp anywhere, I was thinking of the full group at CANVAZ.  I'd like to get a feel for the sites and distances to each run.  That way I can decide what runs are best done each day.

These two are at higher elevation so in theory should be a little cooler:

35°09'60.0"N 113°57'24.2"W

35°13'23.7"N 114°21'08.4"W

This one has higher elevation, bathroom, and enough room but a crappy location right by the road:

35°12'17.7"N 114°05'47.6"W

This one easily has room but not a great view of anything:

35°17'44.8"N 114°00'50.9"W

Keep in mind I haven’t been out there in a while but back in the day these areas were free and no one would bother you.   Any of them should work for a CANVAZ size group.

There is a slight possibility to do one last pre run but not sure whos interested as most of us are tired of kingman lol mostly me.

If you want to run a green trail please lets us know as you might need to prerun it...we are still waiting on hearing how many would run it as it might not make the official event trails list.

Let us know what you guys think.
