Title: Xterra engine harness issue
Post by: REXTERRA on February 22, 2017, 07:38:31 PM
Having a misfire on Cylinder 6 and I have replaced coil pack spark plugs injector and still no issue resolved so it tells me it's a harness issue, any input?

Injector pulse check.
Voltage at Injector harness.
Tug test on the back of the pigtails. If insulator stretches the inside strands are broken.

This is correct. If you have power at the coil and the injector pulse test passes then its not the coil or wires. It could be a bad injector or even worse an issue with the head.

I have no power at the coil

No power at the coil then you have to trace the wire back to see where you do have power at. Then you can repair the bad wire or just wire in a jumper straight to the coil connector.

I hate dealing with engine harnesses so the dealer repaired the harness for 375 out the door, worth every penny.

What exactly was the repair?
