  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

Member Coordinated Events / Visiting AZ, have to off-road this Sunday!
« Last post by rushnrockt on August 08, 2018, 03:09:37 PM »
Hello all,

It's been about forever and I suspect not so many people that remember me are still around :) Anyway, I am visiting AZ from lands with very little off-roading (Germany), don't have my own wheels, but convincing my friend to go wheeling this Sunday somewhere not too far and not too complicated. Since I think it's always better with multiple people, just checking if anyone would be interested. My friend is a heathen, drives a Jeep, but hopefully that can be forgiven.

Thanks Pit, I prefer this picture, less lightning strikes, but Xterra looks better :)

I completely agree with you.
I removed my rear sway bar 4 years ago and you'd be amazed that you can not tell a difference.
My front sway bar came off in October of 2015. It was at CANVAZ where I broke one of the front sway bar end links. After that I took the sway bar off and never looked back. I admit that it is a little sketchy at first, but the more you drive it the more comfortable you become.
Yes, evasive maneuvers are hard to control and pot holes suck doing anything over 20 mph.
It is all worth it when you are off road though.

My wife says that I drive like an old man. I tell her that my Xterra is not a race truck. Thats what I have the mustang for. Once the X is lifted and is weighted down with armor it becomes a brick on wheels. No reason to drive it like a race car. Sure the lean around turns can be fun and always gets odd reactions from other motorists, but youd be amazed just quickly you get used to it and learn to compensate without even thinking about it.

Good thing I donated most of what I needed months ago. There was a thread about this sometime ago on another forum perhaps that info has "moved'.

Anyone savvy enough to know how corporations work will have downloaded a copy for archive purposes :)

Check this!!! I helped find the event a video person, and it's a drone video. Watch it in the best settings from a pc.
I had a blast! I am definitely going to try and make this event every year. Thanks Rob!

Thanks to everyone who made it out this year! Hoping to make next year even bigger with everyone's help. We need at least another crew to work the north part of the trail for next year as we had only 3 folks make it up there.

Nissan served NICO with a copyright infringement notice and the manuals have been removed.
