Fans should come oon when the coolant gets hot. Also fans will come on with the a/c on. To burp the system you remove the radiator cap. Start the vehicle. Let it get hot. Once the thermostat opens the coolant will flow. Top off coolant as the air escapes. Whole process should take about 30 min if done right.

Reach out to Xzilla or Whattha on here. They both build the baskets.

Buy a stick welder?  Less $$

Welding while on tje vehicle requires extra precations tp protect you and the vehicle electronics

Got a Shrockworks Rear Bumper for a steal a few weeks ago and put it on. Added some clevis shackles and also installed an LED black third brake light housing. The big red one looked awful.

So here I am, shopping for an inside-the-rails roof basket, like Hep Designs, and the prices range from $900-1700.  So I'm thinking to myself, I can get a MIG welder for $600, pay someone to learn how to weld ($150), spend $200 in materials, and have a basket for the same price (or much less).  Hell, I could sell the welder after I'm done, and have a Hep Design type basket for $350 or so.

So what am I missing that is obvious to everyone else?

BTW - my welding class is December 21st  ;)

It had a cheap "kinda fit" front bumper that was held on by two bolts when I got it so I pulled it off plus I plan on running built tube bumpers front and rear so I figured why not. One of the previous owners must have wheeled the crap out of it because the pin stripping is unimaginable ..exhaust is dented like crazy and the stock size bfg's that were on it looked like they 4wheel drifted it on 30grit sand paper.. lol
But the cosmetic stuff is why I got it so cheap so I don't mind

Xterra Garage / Onboard Air from A/C compressor
« Last post by Thatsgr8 (Scott) on November 07, 2017, 06:09:42 AM »
Has anyone used an A/C compressor for their onboard air system?  I came across this article on which looks interesting but have questions. Is there a serpentine belt made to accommodate it and is there room to mount the compressor.  Check out the article from the below link.  Let me know pros and cons.
