  • Conundrum: Wow, with all the rain I've been in as well as flooding in the X on Fat Tire, I have a new issue. Set light blinking rapidly and goes away after restarting the engine. I did a little research and I guess the cruise actuator can get nasty and seems plausible since I went through a puddle on purpose on the right hand side and that made the set light for cruise start flashing again. I'll check it out after the rain stops. lol Have fun and be safe out there everyone.

Those are your main websites that will help you.

As for shops you can talk with the guys at Sierra expeditions as they are pretty knowledged at proper lifts and alignments.

Dig around on remo's links above and the below link too. I have ordered from all three and running shrock skids. Hefty fabworks came out with aluminum armor a couple years ago. If you order from someone and they are not a manurfacturer they drop ship, so shipping times on suspension may vary.

Nice last 2 pictures, but they should go here instead: http://www.azxterraclub.com/forum/index.php?topic=3072.0
Because it's September now. October almost. Which would be a separate thread.

Normally the thread is started by an admin, then it appears on top of the list.

Awesome Ted, Thank you. The route up to sheeps bridge, have you ever ran that section? Is it any different than the rest of the trail? How long are the permits good for?

Yes, we have ran that many times.  The road that leads to Sheep's Bridge is FR269 - commonly called Bloody Basin Road.  You can run FR24 (Cave Creek Road) to FR269, and then head east on FR269 to Sheep's Bridge.  Or, you can drop in at I-17 and Bloody Basin Road exit and head east.  The bridge is approx 25 miles from I-17.

The driving is easy leading up to the intersection of FR269 and FR24 - both are graded dirt roads.  From the intersection to the bridge, the road gets rougher, and can be challenging in wet weather, or after a significant rainstorm - this section is not as frequently maintained.  It's about 10 miles from the intersection of FR269 / FR24 to Sheep's Bridge.  I recommend taking at least one other vehicle.

If you post up an upcoming Sheep's Bridge run, you'll probably get a good amount of interest, as people like going there.

The AZ State Trust Land Permits are good for one year.  I usually buy the "family" pass, which is good for two vehicles, and only costs $5 more than the individual permit.  Here is the link to their online permitting portal.  It looks like the fees have remained the same: $15 for Individual and $20 for Family:

Bumpers shrockworks, hefty, arb, wont run off with your money. If your going hardcore enough for bumpers, get front coil overs and A arms.

I found the pro4x suspension way to soft and was bottoming it out at stock weight, and a light payload.

Oh and pull off the mudflaps, and front chin spoiler now.
Appreciate the feedback, can you be so kind as to point me in the right direction with the correct links as I seem to have been getting information from local vendors that Aftermarket suspension componates seem to be slim to none. I'm very familiar with Shrockworks due to my last nissan being a 1st gen X with shrocks from and rear alto that was approx 6 years ago. Thanks in advance

Jeremy.
