Hello My AZ Friends
« on: February 19, 2013, 08:46:21 PM »
The name is Chris I live in Mesa and I generally explore around the lakes just north of Apache Junction. Like Sycamore Creek and Butcher Jones. I ship out for the military April 15 of this year, but would love to go out a lot before I leave. I'm an avid shooter and used to do competitions so I liked seeing the "AZXC goes Bang Bang" event. So I hope to meet some of you and have some fun as well. Thanks.
Prepare for the worst; Hope for the best.

welcome, there should be on or two events on the trail before you ship out.  Thanks for serving. JD.

Welcome. Which branch are you going into? There's a couple current and past vets on here, I'm active duty right now. Good luck at training.

Hello and welcome to the club.  Unfortunately the bang bang event go canceled from lack of interest, which i think is related to ammo prices.  I stayed behind after the last camping trip to get some trigger time in and had a lot of fun.  Hopefully we can get a couple events going before you leave, currently we have a March event scheduled but feel free to post in the member coordinated events section if you want to go out at a specific time.  If I am off I would be glad to join up with you and hopefully a couple other members are interested.

I joined the Army. My father is still in and has 21 years in I'm going in with the same MOS as him. 91B Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic. Most of my job history revolves around mechanics, from buses to automotive. So I'm positive I will be happy with it. I will be at Fort Jackson South Carolina for basic and then I have no idea where I will be stationed. Hopefully somewhere close to home. I will definitely stay connected with my AZ friends. Like today with all this rain I'm going to go spend an hour or two in the mud. And hoping this weekend to do some shooting out at Butcher Jones.
Prepare for the worst; Hope for the best.
