« on: March 02, 2013, 07:32:47 PM »
Ok so Ive had the Frontier for almost 2 months now but with life, family and a few minor repairs I havent got it in the dirt yet. Who's up for a trail run next weekend, the day for me doesnt matter Sat or Sun, I was thinking Rocker Panel Pass in the East Valley or Box Canyon or whatever. It will be 4x4 required, sorry 2wd guys. :-\

UPDATE: Rocker Panel Pass is the trail we are running

Meet time and location is: Gas Station on the Beeline Highway across from Ft McDowell Casino at TBD(Check back Friday Evening)

I am told Rocker Panel can be done in our X's with rear locker and skids minumum, has one major obstacle that some spotting is needed but everybody can make it.

Post up if your in.

OP updated.

07offroadx, Im assuming since thats your screen name you have an Off Road model with rear locker, correct? Do you have sliders as well? From what Ive been told they are needed for Rocker Panel.

So I guess Rocker Panel it is. I was unaware because we ran Sunflower Mine Trail last February but a summer fire has closed the area for awhile. :(

As far as your code, I have no idea, sorry. Did you clear the code after the things you did and see if it comes back? Sorry Im not much help, hopefully you get it figured out.

What time would you like to meet? I was thinking meet at 0800a, gas up if needed and roll out around 0830a.

I will update the OP.

Alright well I can't figure out the issue myself. So tomorrow shes going to the dealership Once they are done with it I need to change the alternator. Hopefully by Friday she will be good to go. She runs fine and everything now. 4hi and 4lo works. I just have no ABS, VDC, or rear locker anymore. I really hope I can get it fixed in time. Will keep you updated.

Hopefully its fixed. Only thing is without sliders you may get rocker panel damage, hence the name of the trail. If your ok with it lets do it but if not, then hmm, you gotta get some sliders, lol.

Think I have done a whole lot of damage so far. I'm sure I can handle it. A lot of things are exaggerated about these trails.

Ok my issue with the diff was the control unit under the dash is fried. New part comes in saturday at 8amthe it takes about 10 minutes tochange so if u want to meet at 8the i will be running late. I can change it wherever not a big deal. All my suspensiin parts come friday so i will be busy all friday night trying to get that done before we head out. So far its lookin pretty good that i will be able to do this trail with ya.
Prepare for the worst; Hope for the best.
