  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

bought my Xterra new in 08 because that is what "she" wanted. I had my K5. Sold the K5 so, time to start messing with the X (not X wife) I have been on a lot of off roading trips with the K5, X and my bikes. Just looking to check out some other folks rides etc.

Welcome to the club.  I would suggest you try to make the mod day on the 21st.  It will give you a chance to see what people have done to their rigs, and give you a chance to meet some of the group.

Welcome to the club! ;D

Lol, not to worry, there are some running gags on other pages like, "You know you're an Xterra owner when you talk about giving your X a tune-up and people look at you strangely." ;D

What year is your X? Definitely come on by to the mod day to take a look at what people have got. And if you're looking for ideas there are plenty around. Depending on whether yours is a 1st or 2nd gen you'll find some good info on things you can do on budget to really make a difference and customize your ride.

See you around! ;D

Welcome!  We've got a few events this month:  Mod day on the 21st, and Sedona the following weekend.

Were you involved with the ArizonaK5 club?  They are a great bunch of guys and girls.  We've met up with them at several of the desert cleanups over the last few years.
2006 XOR; Titan Swapped; Fully Shrocked, etc., etc.

Thanks for the welcome. I will try to make it. I have seen many modded and heavily modded X's out there.
 Rear suspension sucks.  :o
