It is an easy drive, but I like the idea of caravaning up there friday night.  So I am in for that.  Meet at the usual spot.

I think i am so down for this and i think my son will have fun. So what is the actual plan for meeting and what time and all that fun jazz? Does anyone know if a twin air mattress will fit in the back of the x?

I will be at the Chevron at the I-17 and Carefree HWY around 6:30 on Friday. If people want to meetup and caravan out, the more the merrier.

And yes a twinsize air mattress fits in the back of the x. My prefered method of sleeping.

I'm working on being able to go, but I am unsure. Was also invited to go to Long Lake which is further NorthEast to camp and possibly cooler. I'd like to meet up though.

Childs is a great little secret, you'll have fun 8)
As for Mormon Lake, Long lake, around Munds Park along 240, we camped there last week. It was D R Y, temps in the 90's and of course no water around. This is a no brainer, if you 're camping and looking to stay cool, get to the water. Bring kayaks or paddleboards there too. Have fun
I got your "Jeep thing", now it burns when I pee..

So you are saying that Child's will be better because there will be water?

How's the fishing?
There are a couple of rivers, last time i tried fishing the water was muddy and I wasn't having any luck.  That said, a better angler might do well.

Looks like fire restrictions are set throughout the entire state.
