Still not 100% sure if I will make it but Im going to try.

And noone will need to have a lift to make this trip.  Everything will be stock 4x4 friendly.

FYI myke if you don't change your tire sizes a lift does nothing but lift the truck that's it. No additional ground clearance the x is solid axle in thr rear.

Come on Tim go.

I'm thinking we meet right at American Ave on a dirt patch just a little ways off the 77.

Right about here

I'd like to get a decently early start while still giving everybody a chance to get there. I figure we give everyone until 10AM to get to the spot and we make it up to the summit in time for lunch? It'll be cooler up there anyway.

Thoughts?

Is the idea about going through Reddington any consideration at this point or is going to be Oracle to Mt. Lemmon for sure?

Getting crucial to finalize this here, only a few days left.

But a headcount is a good idea so we can make sure we're setting ourselves up for something everyone can do.

If you guys who want to go could do me a favor and just let me know that you're in and what your drivetrain is.

Thanks! ;D

I'm in.  4X4...;)

There are some cool places to check out on both routes so either way it should be good.  I always like going through Reddington first because ita more of an excursion and more time away from the masses.

Isn't the heat a relative concern? should be 103-106 degrees, just sounds like trans death to me.

Why would heat and your tranny be of any concern?  Are you planning on towing a heavy load up the mountain?   ;D

There really isnt any abnormal wear and tear on the tranny in the heat unless your are putting an unusual load on it and are not doing so properly.
