  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

Sorry for such a long delay I haven't been as active as before. nothing really has been done to truck since the hood louver, but here is a list of mods i want to do. my main goal is to be able to get wheels and the 35 inch tires. green is what i believe is a need to make it happen, gray is second priority, and orange is dead last. no be aware that the prices are not all correct and don't include shipping. my main goal is to have everything ready for the 35s and for prep long travel down the road. any suggestions would be nice. i won't be wrenching on the truck until late march early april .so i have time for input. thanks in advance. Mainly looks really but at the Sedona trip in April my fan turned on less frequently as others. Also when its cooler out you can actually see the engine heat radiating out of the vents.

its not for sure since i have never did any testing. but like msainz said you can see the heat escaping.
