  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

Right there with ya pinchel. I'll be in my X for both nights. I left my camping gear in Phx and I'll be coming across from NM and don't feel like an extra 5 hours of driving from flag to Phx and back up. Its all good though. Puts a spin on "roughing it"!! I'll be camping at start camp Friday so not having to drive extra early AM Saturday. See you guys soon! This will be my first event with AZXC and meeting other members so excited about that plus being part of the event. Do we get our shirts Friday and wear them on Saturday?

Can bring and extra tent and sleeping bag for you if you like...I'll have room since it will only be me and the boy.
Thanks for the offer Critchley but one of my buddies here in NM lent me his sleeping bag and tent pad so I should be fine in my X. Won't be the first time!! The thought is much appreciated though. See you Friday! :)

I was at the start camp two years ago and was planning on the same this year, but not sure that's of any help, as I can't remember it :)

Marshall, I will not be able to make the Fat Tire run this year.  The database at work blew up, and I have to work this weekend to get it back online.
2006 XOR; Titan Swapped; Fully Shrocked, etc., etc.

Yeah sorry to hear that Ted.   Lots of people can't make it this year.  Travis will be there at start camp.  The directions to start camp posted earlier are very easy.  There should be a big orange/yellow sign at the FR222 turnoff too.  Just stay on that until you see start camp on the left.

Travis is a a Blue Toyota 4 Runner.

Guys any of you that can make it, I really appreciate it.  Again we couldn't do this safely without your support.

Stone,
What's the updated count of AZXC members going? I'm still in. Will the orange/yellow sign be on the way from flag o my or will there be one heading west towards flag too? I'm coming from New Mexico so I'm curious.  If there's only one, I'll go into town and turn around d to follow the directions from flag. My Nav system gave out so I'm going by the posted directions. Regardless I'll be there! Lastly, with the people that can't go, if the XXL is too big, can I switch it for an XL?
Thanks!

You shouldn't have any problem seeing the turnoff, the sign is yellow/orange on both sides. Coming down, it'd be on your passenger side.

Dan coming out of Flagstaff the START CAMP sign will be on the left, drivers side.  Out of Flagstaff it is FR 222.    Call me at 6 oh two 29 oh 3 oh 29  if you want better directions.

Fill up your GAS TANK in Flagstaff

Directions to Start Camp

HWY 180 North (NW) out of Flagstaff. It's about 7 miles to the turn off on your left (FR 222).

It is just after a long straight portion of road as you pass Fort Valley and the last of the houses and just past a street that is Bader on the left and Roundtree on the right.

If you pass FR 151 on your right you went to far.

You should also see a bright yellow sign with red letters that say Toys For Tots etc. at FR 222. Or you can look on a map for HWY 180 and 222. There is a sign post there that will have glow sticks on it from dusk to whenever.

So it's like a mile a so down FR 222 and there is camp.

Not sure when this will post as I'm in the middle of Navajo Nation but my alternator just gave out after making a gas stop and I have no reception at all. Looks like I'll be heading back to Albuquerque when I can finally get thru to AAA or DPS stops. Sorry I won't be there guys...I have been looking forward to this trip since I first heard about it :( Hope everyone has a blast!
