  • AZGeorge: @Rob - I prototyped three different roof baskets.  Learned lots and scrapped them all.  Also took off the solar panel - going to mount a basket and hot water tank :)  Moving to 200 watt folding panels as I don't use them on the move anyway.

Lift Kits
« on: June 22, 2013, 09:25:55 AM »
So I've been researching lift kits and have narrowed it down to a couple. I'd like a little insight if any of you have dealt with these kits.

NIsstec  http://nissteclifts.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=58955&category_id=173&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=72

Pro Comp  http://www.procompusa.com/prodDetail.aspx?partNo=EXP64660K&catID=1&subCat=38&ptID=3533&plID=107753

PRG  http://www.prgproducts.com/shop/product/prg-2xe31mk-x/

If there is another lift I should be looking at please let me know.

The PRG kit is the kit I ran for almost 2 years. Ran red trails in MOAB on it, it is a fantastic lift.

The PRG spacer for the front is much easier to use also than the Nisstech which involves disembeling the strut and putting it on top of the coil, which results, as i have been told, in a harsher ride.

My vote goes to PRG, based on personal experience with it.

I'll throw a nod in for alldayfab front spacers. I don't suggest their rear shackles, they aren't built strong enough. But their fronts work perfectly fine and are way cheaper.

This July I'm getting a new Frontier Pro-4X and I'll be putting this one on it with the radflo emulsion upgrade.

OK, so this week I am going to order the PRG kit. Will I need any other bolts or anything to make it work?

Alright guys. I am torn between the NissTec and the PRG 2" with AAL. I would appreciate opinions.

I had PRG AAL for 6 months never the spacers but the Nisstec kit comes with longer Ubolts and includes shims as well, probably go with Nisstec, you will have the parts in a week, PRG is questionable with delivery of parts, sometimes fast, most of the time not.

Also get the Cam Bolt kit while your at it because after adding the lift these need to be installed for a proper alignment to follow.
