  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

New member, dealership Service Advisor

Hello all,
My name is Randy Wright, I am a service advisor at Earnhardt Nissan. I signed up here because I met someone from this club at the AZ Game and Fish Expo. I'm currently a member of a huge Jeep club, and have done lots of off roading in Jeeps/Buggies. I don't currently own a Nissan but being here at the dealership I've done one build of an Xterra, and am doing another one soon. This place seems like it will have lots of useful info, and the members seem cool, so thanks for having me. I will be doing lots of "lurking" learning about Nissan's and how they operate. I know quite a bit about Jeeps so this is a new experience.

I am sure he talked to me and to JD.  I remember the conversation.  Glad I have only 6 months left in this club.  Woo Hoo

6 months  ??? Are you obligated? Cant you just be done whenever you want? Were not handcuffed here, right? lol

Why 6 months? Confused

Thanks for the welcome. I've been really busy and haven't been able to log back in here. When I get some time I will look into Rev's xterra.
