New Jurassic Park build
« on: July 29, 2018, 06:57:38 AM »
Xterra was slightly damaged in the recent wind storm we had. I am getting a nice insurance check so now the full JP build can begin. Looking for the best place to order the ARB front bumper right now and trying to get a hold of rear ladder. Sending off all the dark gray paint to get it back down to the original White so I can prime it and shoot the Jurassic Park tan and red.

Cool there is a guy named Mark out in California that did the whole JP theme also for his 2nd gen.

ARB bumper can really be ordered from multiple locations.
There is ordering online or you can go to Sierra Expeditions and have them install it.

Rear ladder rack will have to be Gobi

You'll like it - just go slow.  It took me 24 hours to put it on.  I went really slow.  I did it all myself except the actual lifting it in place.

I hope you got new front coil-overs - the ARB bumper will drop your nose an inch or two, especially if you put in a winch.  BTW - the winch goes in before the bumper goes on.

Looking at different front suspension options but we are going to definitely get a 2in lift, what do you guys recommend? I've heard good things about Daystar but I want to get the best strongest lift spacers and shackles plus I also want my truck to be level in the front as I know the front drops a little

I ran the rough country kit on my frontier. All spacers are the same. But you’re going to want stiffer springs also. If you put a 2” spacer on the front it will just bring the nose back up to stock height and you will probably get nose dive during braking. Check out nisstec for the spring and they also have spacers as well. The best long term solution would be to buy a full lift with coilovers.

When I added that bumper (and the 80 pound winch), it dropped my nose - so I brought it back up with 700# OME from NissTecLifts.
