September Meeting 9/21/2013
« on: September 06, 2013, 11:09:38 AM »
The weather is perfect in Flag right now so I think we should take advantage of it.  I know a spot just north of Mormon Lake that has an awesome view of the valley.  I will be planning on staying Friday night and leaving Saturday night, who is with me?

Here is a map to the location http://goo.gl/maps/X6j5o

And AZXC will be giving away an Ironman Instant Awning donated by offroadperformanceparts.com so be sure to thank them for their donation and check out there site for great gear.   Here is a link to the Awning description.  http://www.offroadperformanceparts.com/ironman-instant-awning.html

The prize will only be available to paying members who attend this event, so see everyone there :)

Will a 2WD make it? Also how much of a drive hour wise, and also are we going to caravan?

Well it's about a 2+ hour drive to Flagstaff from the valley... so probably that plus a little more to the site I'm guessing. I'm off that Friday so I'm up to caravan whenever.

All the spots I am considering are 2wd accessible.  Needs to be high clearance though, stock X is fine, just don't drive up the Altima.  The spot I am thinking is just south of Flag, about 2 1/2hrs.  My issue will be getting my gf out of work and packed in time to meet a caravan, I usually miss those.
