  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

I'd love to go on this one year. I'll have to wait until I get another rig first. 2WD won't make it very far out there.

I believe the Green trails are 2wd friendly.

I'm looking at my schedule and there is a slim possibility I may be able to go to this. Who all is going?

You can register up till the day of, but prices go up and T shirts may not be available past a certain point.  Hopefully the Gone crew can clarify if 2wd are allowed, looking at the page they only say 4x4.

Just once, I had a great time and the trails were amazing.  I just don't have enough time off to do everything I want to do.

I think it would be nice to go for 3-4 days with the club just to get people interested and then gather up the club to go to GoneMoab which i know that they will want to go again.

It can be warm (relative term) in the days, sometimes monsoon like storms in the afternoons.. I've seen cold, rainy mornings open into sweltering midday sun trail rides and chilly nights by a desert bonfire to night swimming at the condo it was still so warm out.. It's a mixed bag really, go prepared for anything and everything.

If you guys are thinking of going and would like to get a RTT, let me know. Our sponsor CVT agreed to work something out for us, depending on quantity and such. We could possibly rent or buy as a group and they'll give us a deal. Let me know!
