  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

Not to burst any bubbles but just so you all know a group I wheel with did CK last weekend and they were suprised and very dissapointed, now the Forest Service completely graded flat the last 10 miles of the trail after you come out of the creek bed, the big trench area that Rosie slid her rear end into last year has been filled in and is no longer there or even noticeable at all. Everybody said it has gotten lamer and lamer now that they keep turning it into a Green trail.

It most likely will still be a good day for you all but its just sad they keep doing this to the trail (An AZ classic), slowly less people and clubs will run it which ultimately means less money for the town of CK. I know the club I wheel with that does an annual run there every year is talking about switching trails.

Anyways just wanted to inform you all.  :'(

Dang, that's a real bummer... maybe not the ditch part lol.

Do we still want to do this run, then? It's still a great day trip for the scenery changes, and weather changes if it's anything like last year's run.

I would still prefer to do this one. I have never done it and my wife and I were thinking about renting a cabin in CK that night.

I have also not done this trail. I keep hearing throughout the years how weak this trail is becoming. I really want to do it before its eventually gone.
