  • Conundrum: lol, they're contagious and more lights coming on, worrying to see the oil pressure indicator and also the windshield washer fluid lights, however I'll just wait and see if it goes away when things dry out. Good thing I took it through emissions this morning. Never Fails. lol

  • Conundrum: Wow, with all the rain I've been in as well as flooding in the X on Fat Tire, I have a new issue. Set light blinking rapidly and goes away after restarting the engine. I did a little research and I guess the cruise actuator can get nasty and seems plausible since I went through a puddle on purpose on the right hand side and that made the set light for cruise start flashing again. I'll check it out after the rain stops. lol Have fun and be safe out there everyone.

Yes, I failed to check the load tied up in the basket. We lost our son's camping chair.

It is indeed spider gears. The shop also brought up the idea of putting a different rear end altogether, so now I have to think harder than I wanted to about this! One of the mechanics brought up limited slip differential, but unless I am missed something, we don't have one out there for our trucks. And e-locker conversion is going to cost :( Anyway, glad that I at least know what's up.

Oh, and my current rental is a Chevy Traverse. That thing is a freaking boat.

A lot of Nissan dealers won't sell just the internals - instead, they want to sell the entire assembly.  I got lucky and was able to buy Aaron and Natalie's e-locker to replace mine (they SAS'd their 2nd Gen Fronty).

So whats the plan?

Could always throw an ARB locker in it like I did but not cheap.

Seemed like a good turn out.  I wish I could have gone.  I did tease myself by showing up and not going...  On the other hand, it was nice to meet some of you guys, and seeing your rigs.

After some internal argument with myself, went the "cheap" way of just having it fixed back to normal. Going through some painful divorce stuff, so financial priorities are a little different.

On a side topic, Chevy Traverse is one large truck, but I am digging the heated seats! And remote engine start! And how freaking smooth it is relative to our tractor-terras.

Haha yeah just wait until it gets even dryer this summer... my dash is just a nice brown color all year long. I need to put up my pictures still.
