  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

  • downs44: Hey! Newbie here. I met some of you guys at the F2GC event this weekend. I was with the mountain rescue group. Did not have my X up there due to some mechanical issues. I need some input and was wondering which forum I should put my questions in.

Keyless entry question on a 2002 X

  Keyless entry question on a 2002 X
Over the last year, I havent been able to unlock my drivers door with my key. When I lock my doors, I have to go threw the trunk to unlock the front door.  I found a cheap fix,
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0052UB5DY/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=YMDAVV784ZJO&coliid=I19WGJHXGDO64E

My question is, will this work on all 2002 Xterras?  Does anyone know if all 2002s  came with keyless remote options?
I bought the X from a used car lot a long time ago, and wasn't given any keyless remotes.

Thanks

My 2003 came with one from the dealer used, so I don't see why it wouldn't work on a 2002. You should just have to program it.

I thought they all came with the key fob receivers from the factory...so that should work just fine

You'll have to program it but that just involves some simple weird steps.

Thanks guys. .

I received it today. It was easy to program the first one. Kinda tricky to program the second one..  Over all a good buy for $10.   On a funny note, this is the first time I have ever heard the alarm go off in 9 years.
