  • Conundrum: lol, they're contagious and more lights coming on, worrying to see the oil pressure indicator and also the windshield washer fluid lights, however I'll just wait and see if it goes away when things dry out. Good thing I took it through emissions this morning. Never Fails. lol

  • Conundrum: Wow, with all the rain I've been in as well as flooding in the X on Fat Tire, I have a new issue. Set light blinking rapidly and goes away after restarting the engine. I did a little research and I guess the cruise actuator can get nasty and seems plausible since I went through a puddle on purpose on the right hand side and that made the set light for cruise start flashing again. I'll check it out after the rain stops. lol Have fun and be safe out there everyone.

Yes I am still selling them.  Base Price is $200.  I will paint it for an additional $25.  Painting is pretty simple really. I can do it for you if that is what you want though.  Let me know what you are thinking.

Cheers.

It is hard mounted.  I drilled 4 holes in the large roof top tubes and bolt it right to those.  I have done one with a clamp mount.  It worked but to be honest, this roof rack is designed and built for the Xterra, I do not plan on ever taking it off and putting it on anything else.  We can work on options if you have other ideas though. Simple and secure method is to just drill holes and bolt it right up.

Some quick questions, what ga steel are you using?  How do we pick them up?  How much are they atm?  and lastly whats the weight time on them?

Thanks!

The steel I use is .083 1" square. Plenty strong enough for a lot of gear and even to walk on.  Buyer will pick up the rack from me at my house in Mesa. Base price is $300 and can got up from there depending on customization. I do not have much for projects lined up at the moment so no real wait time to have it started. I do ask for $100 down to start the rack. I give a 6 week turnaround, only a couple have actually taken that long. I am guessing the weight to be around 60 pounds or so for the basic rack. I have not been able to officially weight one though. Hope this answers all your questions.

Whattha do you any other metal work?  I am looking to replace my plastic grill with a custom square tube bend unit.  I have the idea in my mind.  Just need to make it a reality.

Thatsgr8 unfortunately at the moment I am having to put my metal work to the back burner.  Due to some unexpected events I will be tied up with some family stuff.  My parents were involved in a severe accident last week and I will be focussing on them for the next several months.  Once all this settles I will be open to looking at your ideas.  Thank you for your understanding and patience at this time.
