Turn Signal Switch Replacement
« on: January 06, 2014, 09:43:03 PM »
Well I thought I'd do a write up on this. Its ridiculously easy. So if you need to replace a faulty turn signal switch or replacing the switch to add stock fog lamps like I did. Then here you go.

Knee bolster needs to partially be removed. Remove one Phillips screw on the underside/right of the knee bolster. Then pull out at top of bolster. Should look like this.

Next the three Phillips screws from the bottom of the steering column cover need to be removed.

Once the three screws are removed then separate the upper and lower halves of the steering column cover. Just pull it apart at the seam on both sides of the steering column. remove both halves and set aside. It will look like this.

The turn signal switch is the stalk on the left.

There are two white tabs that need to be pressed to remove the switch. One is on top and one is on bottom. Press both white tabs and pull the whole switch out towards the drivers door.

Turn signal switch with and with out fog lamps. With fog lamps is the one that I will be installing.

Slide the new switch into place. You will hear it snap in when it is seated into place.
Then reverse the order of the items you took apart.
This should really take you no more than 15 min. It took me 5 min to do the whole job.
