  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

  • downs44: Hey! Newbie here. I met some of you guys at the F2GC event this weekend. I was with the mountain rescue group. Did not have my X up there due to some mechanical issues. I need some input and was wondering which forum I should put my questions in.

Hello all, been watching posts for awhile and have now joined.  I own a YELLOW 2007 Nissan Xterra, love it.  I have done some after market lights where the driving lights go and that's it so far.  It's only a 2 wheel drive so wasn't sure if it would be worth putting a 2.5 lift on It or if it won't get around very well.

Very nice and welcome. I have a 2wd '06 and have lifted it and enjoy it very much. I would say go for it of you want. Hit me up if you have any questions. Welcome again and hope to see you around. What part of the valley you located in?

What was the lift you went with ?  I saw a add on Craigslist for a 2.5 rough country lift installed for like $450 but didn't know if that was a good brand. Oh and I live in maricopa, moved out here from Chandler in Jan

I have the Old Man Emu lift on mine. I also have the shackles in the rear and coil spacer up front. Sits nice and the ride is great. I know a couple of people (non xterra) that have the rough country lifts and they seem fine.
