  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

  • downs44: Hey! Newbie here. I met some of you guys at the F2GC event this weekend. I was with the mountain rescue group. Did not have my X up there due to some mechanical issues. I need some input and was wondering which forum I should put my questions in.

HBIII - Bruiser Build (aka Biltmore X)
« on: January 07, 2014, 08:45:03 PM »
Hi all. Just moved to the state in October after spending the last 3 years in Oregon. I have primarily been on thenewx.org, but I was tracked down here in the last few days and encouraged to get on the site. Looking forward to exploring the state.

Username: HBIII

Year: 2011

Trim: Pro-4X

Color: Super Black

Mods: In no particular order for the moment…
PRG Advanced Coilover Kit w/ Shackles
Maxterra rear bumper w/ LED backup lights
Shrockworks front bumper w/ prerunner loop
Full set of Shrockworks skids powdercoated metallic blue w/ matching D-rings
CB installed in center console (finally tuned)
Rex Rug mod (see thenewx.org)
Upgraded VLED dome lights

Future Mods:
Tinting (any recommendations for a reputable local shop)
Procomps & 33"s (ASAP as the stock wheels look tiny after the lift)
Sliders
Custom rack
Gobi ladder

Comments: Cannot thank Surf & Snow, Travzilla, and BakerX05 (from thenewx.org) enough for all the help, advice, and laughs throughout all the mods to date

Photos: Will post some this coming weekend

Welcome!

For tint I used Duane, he is mobile, came right to my house on a Saturday morning and had my 2013 Ram done in about a hour and a half, a week later one window had 1 or 2 bubbles that never came out, I called him and with no questions asked he came back and redid it. His prices were the best I found and I called 5 or 6 shops, lifetime warranty. I would definitely use him again.
