  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

Members Product: Drop-in Basket
« on: February 11, 2014, 05:38:40 PM »
Just got my drop-in roof rack for the X from the member Whattha on here.

Great guy to deal with and an awesome product from him. It comes bare steel, which means you can paint it whatever color you want.

My rack needed to have rear light holes, clear the locking wetbox handle while also clearing my goib ladder when the hatch is up. Nik makes the basket as big as possible. You don't need to separately order an extension part or anything. Measure twice, cut once.

Basket also comes with holes already drilled so all you need to do is pick up the hardware from a store and a drill bit to drill the holes in the two roof rails.

Whattha Drop-in Roof Basket: $200

Here's some pics

Love it!
Great price, great communication, and great product!!!!

Almost bolted it down here, it did a good job keeping my stuff together. (During the 40 mile ride home)

Cleaned,  Primered and painted

Installed with custom mount for Hi-Lift. Hopefully this mount will work out.

Now I'm wondering if a drop in might be better for me rather than a full replacement. Plus more affordable. I do like my wet gear box.

have couple questions:

1.Can you add a place to carry a shovel.
2.I see you have added a mount for the high-lift is that extra.
3.could you also add way carry a 34" tire
4. can you still access your wet box

sorry for all the Q & A

Brent

Yea a couple of guys that have purchased a basket from me have done shovel mounts. Pretty easy addition really. Yes I do charge a little bit more for a lift mount.  It depends on what you are looking to do exactly. HBIII just bought the hardware for his high lift and it mounted right to the rack. As for the tire question, the rack can handle the weight no problem, I would just need to figured out how you wanted it mounted.

Not a whole lot of wait time. I am usually able to turn them out in around 6 weeks depending on my work schedules of course. Hit me up 480-206-5339.
