  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

I got mine recently. I love it. I just gotta accessorize it and probably paint it again.

Here it is unpainted. I'll post picks of it painted and setup in my rig thread.

How much does it weigh? Any chance of an aluminum model?

Chuy I have thought about doing an aluminum one but I do not have a way to weld it. Maybe one day I will have time to try to do one up. They are probably around 60-70 lbs. They are sturdy and built to last.

Ghostrider the base cost of a rack is $200. Just depends what additions you want.

Speaking of additions I think at some point I'll want to add or modify mine to mount the the lift and or other tools.

Whattha, have you looked into a way to mount a gas can or rotopack to your drop in roof rack?

I have not. I am sure I could find a way to attach them to it. I would need the can or pack to see how to fit it best though.

I will be looking to purchase one of these in March, how can I send payment, as I am in Tucson? What is your preferred method.

Are these available for a Gen1? Thanks, looks overbuilt, but perfect for what I'd need.
