Snorkel install
« on: February 07, 2014, 02:34:11 PM »
Has anyone installed one yet? If how difficult is it and what type hole bit should I use for the big hole. Last thing do you really need to take the fender off?

Someone on TNX did a write up on it. Shows a template on the fender for when to drill holes. Actually shows the guy drilling holes with the fender on the truck.

I remember seeing a write up and the easy way was to take off the fender. I think you can do it without taking it off but you run into an issue with the air box on some models. I'll see if I can find the link.

You want to drill the holes with the fender on the truck.  Then, you remove the fender and tighten down all the bolts for the snorkel.  Once that is complete, reinstall the fender.  The instructions that come with the snorkel are very well written.

I never did find the link, but I bet the install instructions for the snorkel are well written.  ;)
