  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

  • downs44: Hey! Newbie here. I met some of you guys at the F2GC event this weekend. I was with the mountain rescue group. Did not have my X up there due to some mechanical issues. I need some input and was wondering which forum I should put my questions in.

Anyone down for a trail on a Sunday or Monday?
« on: March 06, 2014, 02:03:32 PM »
Unfortunately I work Saturdays so I can't take that off.  I'm going to be leaving Arizona by the end of this month and I REALLY want to get together with someone before then and go wheeling.  The 27th is my last day here.  I'd like to have it near me (I don't mind it being in Sedona but that's where I go all the time and would like to be a little more adventurous lol) because I'm going to be driving to California and back (that's about 800-900 miles round trip) and then I'm driving with a friend to Alaska (like 2,500 miles) the day after I return here, so I'm putting a TON of mileage on my truck already lol  So if anyone knows of some trails they really enjoy or want to go on near flag or sedona or anywhere at least remotely close to me (I don't mind driving like 50 miles to a trail, just not around 100), please tell me and we'll definitely set something up!

P.s. Hope it didn't sound like I was super strict on the region or miles, but I hope you understand.

A few of us are camping near Jerome Saturday night, there are some trails near there for maybe Sunday morning but I'm not sure if they're open for the year yet.

Hmm, I'll look up some of the trails there and see if they're open for use.  Knowing the Forest Service here, I'm going to say they're not.  But who knows :)

Yeah, I'm just not sure how much snow they got last weekend. Could be open though. You're welcome to come hang out Saturday night if you have time.
