  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

New Stuff!

Just got my Gobi Ladder today from Sierra X in Mesa. Sad I could not find effective help for stuff  in the East coast. Looking to bu replacement switches for the KC , Rocker Switches,.

My 7 year radio took a dump and got a up graded  Pioneer unit for 160.00 bucks. My factory is was huge. One would never realize until you yank out the old one.

Pictures will come!

The Radio is a 1 Din Configuration. Plenty of room for a hard mount CB Radio. I purchase a handheld with a external antenna. Not the same as a Regular CB with a Fire stick Antenna!

Looking to replace my back bumper as well, unless I go with a fresh X.

from a cost perspective. would a Iron Bull or a Insane System be about the same in cost. I know a steel rear Bumper would be nice for durability.

Gobi  Ladder looks really good.   Actually I can figure out way this did not turn into a NISMO option for the truck. Gobi Ladders on the Xterra from the show room.
The Gobi Ladder from Sierra X was easy to install, however an extra set of hands is always good.

Had the truck really cleaned today and defunkifly  the interior.

Well the progress continues. I got my PIIA Lights operational, bad bulbs  and bad wiring due to the wetness of Florida.   I had to order new relays and re-routed the wiring.

I replaced the Nissan y radio with a Pioneer  . Now I up graded the speakers   and they match the power source.    Good sound and the speakers are tucked where the Nissan FI unites were.

The sound is perfect and was a good overall low cost mod. I even got the Cuban Installer discovered the Eagles, (Hell   Freezes Over)  .     I almost feel out or I an showing my age, which I count about 10 years ago.!!????? ??? ??? ???

Good example of Music  Appreciation  101.

So It Begins!

Yes I am starting over with a 2014 Black X S Model Stock as a Rock! ;D I have purchased the  Sid plates for the oil pan and transmission today.   I have officially put on my Gobi  Ladder (Purchased at  Sierra Expeditions') in which I had on my 07.
Matter of fact it fits better on the 2014 than the 2007. Almost had a set of Bils lined up but it was sold already.

I am taking  a little creative  Justice (since Nissan has chosen to not proceed with the  breed). Order and picked up the "Off Road  and the  emblems that is offered in Nissan Parts! 8) 8)

As mention just a few low cost changes makes the X look a peeling  like even a new version, but not!

Pictures to follow. Too much like a street queen right now (Shamed) :-[

I do have to say 300 lbs.  less armor makes the X almost like a sports car! 8)

Here we Go!

Today I ordered my 2.5 lift kit by Rough country. A Weston Black Bull bar with KC Slim Lines. (with up graded rocker switch).

Since I plenty of standard  lighting I went with Narrow beam 130. Besides KS look awesome!
My guy is looking into my Bil's for a fair price. (5100)

The Scope ofthis build will be lightness in mind, until I return to  Arizona!

I am very excited!

Instead of going with the usual AKA 285on my 16" wheels I was considering  stepping up to 17 in and run 265 E. I am not a big fan of overly big tires.   My Mech says the truck will adjust fine and accomplish the goals of :
Bigger tire
Most effect for Off Roading.
Thoughts?
