  • Conundrum: lol, they're contagious and more lights coming on, worrying to see the oil pressure indicator and also the windshield washer fluid lights, however I'll just wait and see if it goes away when things dry out. Good thing I took it through emissions this morning. Never Fails. lol

  • Conundrum: Wow, with all the rain I've been in as well as flooding in the X on Fat Tire, I have a new issue. Set light blinking rapidly and goes away after restarting the engine. I did a little research and I guess the cruise actuator can get nasty and seems plausible since I went through a puddle on purpose on the right hand side and that made the set light for cruise start flashing again. I'll check it out after the rain stops. lol Have fun and be safe out there everyone.

my brain is always going about stuff I could do to the x, found out frontier step rails match up to the X with the relocation of 1 of the brackets but now I a curious will the center stereo section of the dash on a newer 2nd Gen replace and match up with the 2007 stereo section.  The entire center area with the radio, climate controls and the 2 vents.  What you think ?  :)

Its completely different. I installed a double din in my '07. Tried to do it in my now '11. I had to buy a completely different install kit.
That being said....stock....'05-'08 radio mounts to dash. '09-'14 radio mounts to bezel/entire face plate assembly. Connectors are all different for radio and a/c controlls.

The front grill assembly is interchangeable.

Ya, there is a thread about this somewhere, someone tried to custom install the newer one in the old truck with a lot of fiberglass.  The results weren't great.

Yeah, I don't like doing fiberglass work so would maybe try making some modified brackets at work for mounting and then either some thin brushed stainless or some aluminum on the side to form to the old dash.  Just trying to decide if it's something I'm wanting to try out or not.
