  • xterra07: P0448 - I think that was the code on my 2007 that kept appearing 5-10 times a year, I cleared it with ODBC II software. Mechanic said it effects emissions but I passed emissions with it.

Hey Kyle, Wally is also into Geocaching.  He was the guy with the white Tacoma at Fat Tire (used to have a black 2nd Gen X).  He's an old-school AZXC member whose screen name was Onix.

Took part in a event in Surprise today. it was a CITO (Cache In Trash Out) event. About 40 of us showed up to do a sweep of the Surprise lake and park and remove any trash. It was neat to meet other geocachers and swap stories and secrets.

So its been a while since I've updated this. My Geocaching has slowed down over the past few months. I still try when I can. Yesterday was a busy day and I managed to score 8 more. I ended up doing some exploring out in West Buckeye at the Robbins Butte Wildlife Area and ended up finding 5 cache out there. I was only able to find 3 of the 5 though. After a few hours out there I headed east to Buckeye and found myself in a town that Google Maps call Allenville. Its south of Buckeye along the Gila River. I grabbed one out there and then headed home. After I got done working the Hockey game last night I picked up 4 more caches around the Glendale Airport area. Night caches are fun. Especially in desert settings. So after almost a year geocaching I'm sitting at 475 finds in 6 states.

There's a few apps for it. I use the one called "c:geo", you can load all nearby geocaches using your cell signal and GPS. Out in those really desolate areas though where there's hardly a cell signal you can save them to your phone app for offline use. It's pretty simple. The app works well for me, other people just save the coordinates and put it in their own Garmin or whatever. It's fun.

Same here. I use c:geo app on my android phone. The GPS feature can be a little off but works great. When I hit 500 finds I am going to buy a GPS and start hiding my own caches. I've heard its not good to hide with your phone due the GPS cords tend to bounce around.

Took the kids out geocaching this morning. We grabbed six more. That puts me at 495 finds. We need to do a off road/geocaching adventure.

More Geocachers!  That's awesome. My wife and I, along with another couple, love hunting!  Watch out for those Muggels!  I use the Geocache app but I'm really liking my new Garmin.  Find the caches on Geocache.com and download to the Garmin

My old roommate and I stumbled across one while rock climbing in Flagstaff. Had a bunch of trinkets like a time capsule and a handy card politely explaining what it was and to leave it be (if found unintentionally by people like us), listing a website where we could find more info. It was neat.
