Camping at Bear Flats
« on: June 08, 2014, 09:10:49 PM »
We will be camping at Bear flats near Payson July 11th-12th.  There is a creek/pond located near the camp sites typically there is good trout fishing either by fly or spinner/grubs.  Additionally you can cool off in the creek so pack a swimsuit.  This is a great spot if you haven't checked it out before, lots of crawdads and creek area to explore.  The road in is maintained but steep at times, a 2wd should be fine so long as it does not rain.  Here is a link to the site.

EDIT:  If you would like to meet to caravan up, please meet Here between 6-6:30.

I'm down for either of those weekends.

For the record, this might be my last club trip unless a trail run gets planned this month. I'm moving to Salt Lake the last week of July. :( I'll miss you guys.

Come on, everyone! It's my last trip with AZXC. I see lots of interest in the Fat Tire trip, why not this one?

I would definitely be going if our vacation up north wasn't around the same time.

It's usually safe to assume that every picture taken in Arizona was during a drought.
