  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

That's great news! I wish the operation success!

Thank you! But also just found out the surgery can happen anytime from july 16- August 1. They are going to a pre op appointment tomorrow so ill know more then. But I still don't think ill make it. Id like to supply burgers for giving such a late notice though.

Free burgers are good!

What's the approximate time we'd meet up and head out Friday? I should explain, so I have two friends that would like to go, but they really want to come and bring their own trucks. They both drive Jeeps. Not sure if they can even make it if we leave early. Also, is it ok they drive up or no?

Cool!  The more, the merrier!!

Sure, if your buddies have Jeeps, they are welcome.  But, please don't post this run on a non-Nissan board.

Not sure about the caravaning.  You may want to post up a time that works for you, and see who else can go.  Most years, there are a few groups that meet up and ride up together.

I never caravan, as I never know when I'll be able to get out of work.

Ok, so it doesn't matter what time we arrive then? Just so long as we are there before morning...

correct.  I've gotten there quite late a few times...as long as you are there by morning all should be good.

Ok, so it will be myself and maybe 2 friends at the most, we are unsure at this point if we will have 3 trucks or 2 but the plan is a minimum of two.

Any equipment or super we are taking as a group? I'm trying to bring as little as possible. Also,  any idea in a meet up to caravan or no?
