  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

Updated to show current list of attendees, I'm sure we have at least a couple more but I'm waiting to confirm.  If you are not on the least and planning to/ hoping to make it.  Post up, we can put you as tentative if you are still trying to get time off.

Also will there be minim requirements for the run? Or is it open to stock vehicles too?

I would recommend at least a moderate lift and 33s, but I have seen it done with a stock 4x4.  Everyone must have at least one recovery point both front and back.

Oh boy, now you tell me. SO I have less than a month to make that happen. Not sure it will. Fingers crossed.

If you're looking for an excuse go for it.  But there is an alternate route to the main obstacle and everything else is 4x4 capable.  You should have recovery points though.

Hey guys...my wife and I will be attending CANVAZ for 2014.  Barring any forseen circumstances, we'd love to share a trail, beer, campfire with the AZ crew.

I'll also beat the drum for some SCCX dudes & dudettes...I'm sure we'll get a few.  :)

I am considering going as well.  Now I do have a 2wd so I would probably hang back at camp and enjoy a little down time.  I would like to go and meet more of you all.  I will see how the schedule pays out as time get closer too.  Sounds like a fun event though.
