  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

Must see/do trail in Az
« on: August 23, 2014, 03:36:50 PM »
So I am still relatively new to Arizona specially the offroad trails. Are there any must do trails that you guys can recommend?

I'd be doing the trails with the gf so nothing too intense since shes not a big fan of that. But anything very scenic and have isolated camping would be ideal. Stuff along the lines of alstrom point is what we are looking for.

Thanks for any and all input.

Will do.

Are there many outside of 4 peaks that is a good day trip, that this scenic also?

The gf is in PA school so getting away is hard, but we both get sick of the city really fast.

Whenever the gf has a 3 day weekend or has a day to get away I'd love to hit a couple day trips or something.

I saw the trail info, but pics are pretty limited and google images isnt that helpful. So I was seeing peoples opinions of best trails to hit to see some scenic stuff since I wont be able to get on the trails too much until the gf has a break.

Crown king is definitely my favorite, you can beat the elevation change...start out in desert, end up in pines.  Any of the trails in Sedona are awesome, Smiley Rock is good.  I have never been up to Payson wheeling but I hear there are great trials there too.

Raising the dead here, but.. Payette Draw west of Payson is a great trail. Ranked one of the best in 'Merica by BFG offroad team. Plenty of dispersed camping around there, or up on the Mogollon Rim. Even lots of cabin rentals for city folks to warm up in.
