November Activities in Arizona
« on: September 13, 2014, 08:29:43 PM »
So my girlfriends family will be coming down to Phoenix in the early to middle part of November. They would like to be able to go out and see some stuff since they dont make it down here too often. I was thinking Sedona and such, but am worried itd be a little chilly around that time.

I was wondering if anyone has some recommendations of stuff to do to see that has good weather, and isnt too strenuous as far as activity goes since they are a little bit older. Thanks for all the input.

Coming from Washington  (state not dc). So straight up north. They havent seen much of the southwest. So I was thinking of going somewhere down south from phoenix to get some warm weather and be able to hike and camp.

They are in their late 50's haha. but both active and hiking isnt an issue. just nothing too crazy haha.

I'm just thinking it may be a little cool up north in sedona. And since they will be coming from cold weather I'd be nice to get them into something a little warmer. That's why I was thinking somewhere down south.

Lows in the high 30s, highs in the 60s.  You could take them out near Saguaro lake or lake Pleasant, Mesa flats is also an option.

Yeah anything around Phoenix would be perfect weather, aside from a cold front. November there will be the Zoo Lights, there's Tortilla Flats and Crown King areas. Anything near Papago is nice too, which is also by the zoo.

Santan Flats is always a winner.   Botanical garden should be pretty cool around that time to.
