  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

Recommended shops for fluid changes/ Possible Mod day
« on: September 21, 2014, 02:12:01 PM »
So I want to change the following:

front and rear diff
atf fluid
trasfer case oil
transmission fluid.

Anyone know of a good dealership or know someone who can do my fluids that wont charge me outragous prices?

Orrrrrr is there anyone looking to change their fluids and wants to have a day of changing out fluids?

I was planning on doing it myself, but when I did my add a leafs the manager at the apartment complex told me I'm not allowed to work on my rig anymore in the parking area. They said its not appealing to potential residents touring the properties.

ya its all easy stuff, I'm not asking for someone to do it. I just need a place to do it, and was seeing if someone was doing the same, and wouldnt mind if I tagged along and changed my fluids also.

I would hate to drop $300-400 on having someone do something as simple as drain and fill for me.

I have a random schedule but only work 3, 12's a week so open most of the days.

Anyone else have some fluids or other mods they want to knock out?

Well if anyone wants to host and we can get a list of people who want to join or just work, and maybe get some mods out I'm down. Esp with CANVAZ I imagine some people have last minute things they want to do.

So, post up if you want to attend and/or post what you want to get done if you have some mods.

I just did my headliner. I still need to install CB stuff. Holding out, trying to decide to get a bracket for the rack that Whattha is making, or a bracket for either the hood or the rear door jam.
