I left in and out at 9:30am. Nobody showed. Joined a group made up of a 4runner, taco, 1500, dodge, and a newer jeep. Had a great time. The taco got a little to rough, broke a CV, had to be winched out. They stopped to camp, I pressed on into snow on my own. Had a great time, 2wd would have made for really long tough go, due to the slippery conditions. It wasa great day for 4wd though.
Punctured the sidewall twice on the same tire, patched it and carried on.
Next time...

Sweet, looks like fun. Wish I could have gone.

As for the Taco, I work with him. Super nice guy. Hope he got out alright.

You know the taco?! Older gentleman w/ hearing aids? If that's the same guy, could you get in touch w/ him to see about having the guy taking video to email me a copy of the video of my wheeling?  One if the guys was named Travis, he was driving a blue 4runner, I think his dad was driving the taco.

I'm positive they were all fine, they were going camping. Travis said the taco broke the outer most CV joint, so he wasn't worried about it.

Was the 4Runner lifted, oversized tires, LED lightbar on the bumper, and a Roof Top Tent?  If so, that was Travis from Nissan4Wheelers.com (he goes by MT TANK on that site).  Really cool guy.  He is part of the SWANKy crew (SouthWest Area Nissan Klub yota).

I don't recall seeing a rooftop tent on the 4runner. I'll have to check out that other group and get a hold of him. I'd go wheeling w/him again.

Sure thing, next time I work with him I'll talk to him about getting the video's. I park next to his rig all the time.

Thanks!  If they can't get the videos, but post them to youtube, at least knowing a user name would be very helpful.

I've driven Senator Highway, Big Bug Mesa Rd, and Walker Rd. All are easy and doable in 2WD, although I wouldn't attempt going up there in the snow if it was a 2WD.
