I will have a +1, same friend who came that I ended up riding with.

That's cool.  Will it be +1 truck, or just +1 person?

+1 truck my buddy Roger, last year I rode with him in his Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Xterra broke down the day before we were both gonna drive up. Left it in the shop that weekend.

I'm definitely in. Cycling is essentially my life and would be great to be able to help out. Haven't gotten a bike rack for the X yet. What are people using to transport the bikes when riders need a lift?

Cool!  We can always use more trucks.

Sweet!  I'll update the attendees.  FYI, the riders rarely need help.  Some of us have bike racks, others just put the bike in the bed (fronty/titan) or on the roof (xterra/pathy).

It's always been kinda a show up when you can thing. I usually head up as early as possible Friday and stay at either end or start camps. They both have advantages and drawbacks. We usually camp a small distance from Start camp to not disturb the riders the night before they have 65 miles of butt pounding fun. lol End camp is nice because you don't have to setup twice, however you may have to get up early enough to meet Marshall to get your position on the trail.

Marshall usually knows about how many vehicles are going to be there based off who ordered shirts and he has an idea where he wants to position us on the trail. Nothing is set in stone and you don't need to run the whole thing if you want to be positioned more toward end camp. This may save you a ton of mud on your truck or like one year, driving through a flash flood.

If you want to caravan up make sure you start planning now.

Be prepared for a full day on the trail, bringing enough food and water to keep you satisfied until the Marines dinner Saturday. Hooraa

I will ask Marshall about splitting the group up and let just the hardcore (gotta run every inch of trail) guys follow the last stragglers into end camp to the finish line so we don't have a massively long line of vehicles waiting for two riders who take a break every 10 minutes of riding. I will also ask him to enforce the cutoff time for riders who haven't made it or obviously not going to make it to the Finish in an appropriate amount of time. Breaking into our beer drinking time.

Rain or shine it's always a good time. :)
