  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

Sounds good, then!

Another question: is it alright to roll up to the event late? Start time is listed as 8 am...

Yes, I don't plan on getting there until 9:00am (I'll be leaving the McD's at Carefree Hwy and I-17 at 8:30am to head up there).  Show up when you can and stay for as long as you like.  It is very open ended.

It was great to meet you too!  I agree, it was cool to see all the other clubs and how enthusiastic they were about keeping our trails clean and open.

Bummer I missed you, Jeff.  My windows were pretty dirty by the end of the cleanup (the Titan Swap can really let the mud fly).

Here is an excerpt from a TreadLightly! email that was sent out today about the Table Mesa Cleanup:

PHOENIX, Arizona - March 4, 2015 - On March 1, nearly 250 volunteers braved the rain to help pick up more than 10 tons of trash detracting from the beauty of the popular Table Mesa Recreation Area north of Phoenix. The cleanup project is part of a larger effort to ensure continued access to public lands in Arizona by promoting outdoor ethics. The initiative - Respected Access is Open Access in Arizona - is supported by a coalition of partners including the Bureau of Land Management, Arizona Game and Fish Department, US Forest Service and Tread Lightly!, a national nonprofit organization that promotes responsible outdoor recreation through ethics education and stewardship programs.

"We had an outstanding turnout, especially considering the rain," said Tom Bickauskas, Natural Resource Specialist with the Bureau of Land Management. "It's a tremendous showing of support for our public lands. Stewardship is everyone's job. When people can contribute in this fashion it will keep public lands open to as many uses as possible."

And here is a link to a short, but cool video about the cleanup:
