Good Bye Xterra

Not sure if anyone has seen this yet. We all knew it was going to happen after Toyota stopped making the FJ.

Well it was a good run i guess. so i guess Nissan will be out of the offroad circle now. Everyone better get their aftermarket stuff now it won't be around long.

They should have re-engined it earlier (instead of the LAME supercharged 3.3L), and they should not have weakened the diffs when they finally did re-engine it.  A small to mid-size turbo diesel option would have been good, too.

The Chevy Tahoe is a little bigger, and it is still built on a truck frame (not too many SUVs are still made that way these days).  IF I ever buy another 4x4 SUV, I may consider the Tahoe.

Could mean we will buying Frontiers.

But,  There could be a 3 rd gen on the Design Boards not yet released?  New engine and listen up or even a dreaded unibody.

Toyota forerunner is my next SUV. I don't think I'll ever get rid of the X though.

This is a terrible idea, as it will only push sales of the Wrangler and Cherokee up. They should continue making the X, but in fewer batches per year.

I suppose if the Frontier continues on, that's all we can hope for.

Then there's the Titan...

Everyone better get their aftermarket stuff now it won't be around long.

I am suspicious of this statement.

Here's another article, sounds legit, considering the Xterra has not been in any recent advertisements for Nissan that I have seen.

That sucks, they are suppose to release the new Frontiers 2016. They have the new Navarra out around the world. Would have liked to see a new X too. If The Frontiers go unibody, I'll go Titan or F150, probably Titan. Sucks big time.
